**operation**---4nomore!

Thought I would start a new thread so that I can post of pics of the 4banger. I would say that the only 2 things I saw that could be problamatic on the car is the paint and the seal around the moon roof needs to be replaced. Sorry I didnt clean her up for the pics... she is what she is. Body is dang near in perfect shape.

Found one crack on the spoiler

Good pics. Project 4nomore. Time to resurect the mare. Paint is pretty rough. I thought it might be able to be buffed until I saw the pics of the roof line forward of the sun roof. Looks like someone liked auto brush car washes.

It might come clean with a wet sand and polish?

Well if I was a paint expert I would give some input... but I am not such expert. You will just have to see the car in person and be the judge.

The clear is peeling. No fix for that except to respray.. It will need paint IMO. But the car is very clean otherwise. Good project!

I wonder if you could get a sand and clear cheaper than an entire repaint?

I was told that the expensive part of a paint job is prep work. If we do all of the prepwork and do a good job. All we will have to do is have someone shoot it with paint and clear it. Paint isnt tooo expensive.

Yep that is correct. I won't settle for a Maco Crap job though. I would guess a budget of a grand should do it if a lot of the prep work is done before hand.

I have been researching different things and talking with Andrew to come up with a plan of attack. I think we have decided that it is best to get it looking correct inside and out first and then start building the drivetrain. He is thinking to go with the 93 Cobra clone look of sorts. Pony in the grill, 93 cobra replica wheels, 93 Cobra rear wing and rear bumper cover. After the parts are on the car we can start prepping for paint. The interior will get new carpet and I think we are planning to see if we can source some sport seats from a salvadge yard from a 5.0 then recover with new upholstery. I think the rest should clean up and will remain stock. Obvious items like the mouldings and seals can be sourced out relitively cheap from LRS (50RESTO). I am currently taking donations for the project. LOL

Cool. I think all I have left from my old fox days are a flywheel, a set of heads, two ten hole wheels, and two LX taillights. If any of these parts your brother can use and would like to trade Im open.
