Just wanted to stop by and say hey. Grabber07' told me about you all off of the ModularFords site. Thought Id spend a little time in here to see what all we have in Tulsa. Currently I am in school in Stillwater, but am back fairly often. My mods are in my sig and I put it all together myself. Just a little FYI about myself.

Edit: My car is a 2000 GT

Well thats cool too. I guess I might be able to learn a little to help my friend build up his. He has on '07. We might take it to the track on Saturday if they are still open to see what it will run stock.

Maybe once I get mine tuned my heavy vert will give you all a run for your money lol.

They run pretty good stock. Traction is the key. Stock with stock tires I was able to manage a 13.55 @ 103 . Not too bad IMO for a heavy pig.

13.55 is not bad. His is 100% stock so it will be fun to put some stuff on it. Another guy down the street had a completely stock '04. 2 weeks after I got ahold of it I put on an offroad prochamber-no catback at all MGW shifter and a CAI as just the beginning.

Well I got my engine together and Im just waiting on Kurtis to get the dynos ready before I can get on it. Im looking for about 300rwhp on motor and about 450rwhp on spray so well see how that goes.

Well as of right now I think it is pretty set in stone on this list. K&N CAI, Hurst short throw, Magnaflow mufflers, and SCT tuner. I am going to get a great deal on all that off of modular fords and all but the K&N is a package deal. I want to get him gears, lt's, and offroad x/h pipe. What else have you all found benificial on the 3v's?

As far as 300rwhp, its plausable but not 'cheap' lol. If I dont hit it I will need longtubes. I have a t/b in my room and just need a plenum, but I have better things on my plate right now. Thanks for showing me this site too. It is nice to see there are many other enthusiasts around are area.

By the way, he said he knew who you all are. He used to work at Bob Hurley and he said he talked to you all one time when you came through.

Lastly thanks for welcoming a 2v!

I wouldnt get the K&N CAI... not much to be gained there (too small). I would look into the C&L Racer CAI or JLTII CAI both are great choices.

Everything in my Sig has netted me a 12.79 @ 106.75 MPH. I would suggest for him to purchase

1)JLTII or C&L racer CAI
2)SCT tuner from brenspeed or bamachips with their tunes
3)If hes an Auto 3.73 gears (FRPP not motive) if stick 4.10 gears (FRPP)
4)Steeda Underdrive pulleys
5)CMCV delete plates
6)Hurst or Triax shifter
7)Spidershaft or Dennys one piece driveshaft
8)ARH longtubes with X/H
9)Electric water pump
10)Lower control arms (help with wheel hop/traction)
11)BFG Drag Radials

*Cams are another option but very expensive for the amount gained without headwork

These are some of the major bolt ons power wise that I can think of. There are also many great suspension mods such as lowering springs, relocation brackets, upper adjustable 3rd link (set pinion angle), K-Member, Sway bar delete, sub frames, etc...

Thats great that your friend has heard of us.... and look forward to seeing your 2v progress. I used to own a 96 GT for about 2 years so I am fairly familiar with them. My brother had a quick little 97 GT.

Well I think hes set on that K&N. Were getting it for $75 and he already gave me the money to paypal. If need be we can upgrade later. Im sure he can get more than $75 out of the K&N later. The only thing is he wants to keep his car under warrenty. It has 7k miles on an '07. I told him to run 4.10's, but after all that well look into the other mods and find out what will/will not void the warrenty.

Just find a dealer that will work with you. We are sponsored by Bob Hurley Ford and they have been very good to us and lenient on certain mods.

By law the dealer has to prove that the modification you made to the car caused the part to fail. IE: A wheel issue has nothing to do with a CAI you installed, or the front end sqeeking has nothing to do with the gears. So basically it has to be proven that the mod or aftermarket part on the car is causing the issues he might be having for them to even refuse warranty. And even then they can only refuse the warranty on the specific part...not the whole car.

I might have to send him over that way! I was thinking of installing my own gears and possibly another guys down the street because I have access to all the tools but I dont know.

With the $200 install do you have to have the master bearing kit or can you just bring him the gears only?

Hey Jeremy,

Unless you've done it before and really know what you're doing, it pays to have someone do the install. They have to be spot on or they will make tons of noise or worst.

I bought the bearing kit for mine...but he didnt have to use it. Since your buddy only has 7500 mi on the car he should be able to reuse your factory equipment

Eh I put together my engine myself starting with a bare block. Never done that before. But ya I know all about the backlash and in. lbs and all that good stuff. There are several write ups I have on it as well as me spending an enourmous amount of time at a friends shop in BA. The first time I did it I would have a friend come over that has done it before. Granted I know its not easy but its a learning thing for me. I love to learn how to do this stuff myself and hate anyone messing with my car. If I did mess up Id just pay the money to get it fixed. That would be an easy fix.
