Do you guys like this gauge pod? I am thinking of doing this one instead of the Saleen. You don't have to cut the dash and it is vert much like the old rally pak from 1965 and 1966. Any thoughts...?

Tom281 has it and has sent some pics in the past and it looks really good. Again, it looks like the rally pack of old. Surprisingly it doesn't block the view of anything. I am also having trouble bringing myself to drill holes in the dash. This way I don't have to drill holes in anything...

I think it would look good Jeff. Are your gauges white faced or black?

I am also with you on the not drilling holes into the dash. Once you go there you can't turn back. Installing a new dash is a real PITA! I did it twice in some of my old fox cars.

The gauges are black to match the other gauges and the factory gauges. I went ahead and ordered one and it will be here tomorrow. If we can't get it done Friday I can just set the gauges in there for the show on Sunday.

I agree. I like the look but I can never go back and that bothers me. Everything I have done to the car I have done so I can take it back if I want to.

While I agree with the holes in the dash... scary.. I just like the look of them being on dash. It goes with my thinking of making it look like it's suppose to be there...

I agree it should look liked it came from the factory. I have seen pics of this gauge pod installed and it does look factory installed just like the old rallly packs...I will save the dash drilling until I decide to add an A/F and a trans temp gauge...

No gauge pod pics yet. I am still trying to decide which one to use. I like the Saleen but don't want to drill. I like the rally pac but am concerned it might block part of my factory gauges (speedo, tach), and finally to use MRT or CDC 3 gauge pod and if so what should my 3rd gauge be. Decisions, decisions, decisions. I'm also waiting for a weekend so old Pauly can help me install the new gauges which will have to wait until after he gets back from STL and I get back from San Fran...

Have you mocked up the rally pac one to see if it interferes with the factory stuff?

I have set it on the steering column and it does cover up the tach and speedo too much. It would be ok for a race car but not for a daily driver. I think I am going to go with the MRT pod which means I need to order another gauge. This will have to wait until I get back from San Fran since I leave on Sunday. I still really like the Saleen but since the dash costs $1500 to replace I hesitate to drill holes in it...
