OK, I see most of you guys have the hood struts replacing the factory hood prop. I recall talking about this a few weeks ago and thought it was a great idea, especially with wind being a factor at times and I was wondering where you guys got your struts? I found one place that sells them but figured you guys may have a better place to buy them? Also I want to avoid any drilling/modifying to install these!! Thoughts???? Thanks

Did you paint that mounting bracket to match the car color?

DO one side at a time place a towel betwen the hood and the car. incase the hood slipps down. As I recall you can loosen one screw just enough to slip the mounting bracket underneath. I had no alignment issues I was very careful though. I also checked the hood alignment very slowly before I was done to be sure that is closed and opened properly. We can help install them if you want but it's really pretty easy. You will love them.

What David said. Only one thing to add... mark where the hood is bolted up. It will be easier to align...

Thanks for the info...I'm pretty meticulous when it comes to R/R parts so this should be pretty easy. Just fishing for any 'unknown issues' that aren't odvious. The instruction on the website look easy also!!

I'll be stopping by Finishmaster in the next few days to have them mix up some G2 Redfire paint so I can paint my new hood struts on order. If anybody need some touch-up spray paint for there car feel free to give me your paint code and I can stop by and have them mix up some. They do a faily good job. They mixed my PlumCrazy paint for my GTX and it matched almost right on!!!
