I offered to throw a deposit down. He said don't worry about it.

Now we do need to do the walkie talkies...

Or you could just skip the run since your shin splints and bad foot will make you stop after 100 yards anyway.

Well in that case I say forgo the run and do somthing with your new buddies. Your old buddy would have wanted that. It's what I would have wanted in his place. I'm sure you would feel the same way.

Remember there will be lots of walking to do in Eureka. You need to be in tip top shape.

This Email was just sent out...

Don't forget this Saturday is the big cruise to Eureka Springs!

Please… if you have signed up, but are unable to attend, please let me know. I would like call Gary at the Travelers Inn and cancel the room(s).

I'll have some handouts with Maps, etc. for everyone on Saturday but, here are some general details. All times are approximent...

General Schedule of Events:

Saturday:

9:00am -Meet for Breakfast: We're meeting for breakfast at Ihop located just off the BA expressway at 71st exit (1901 E. Hillside Drive Broken Arrow, OK 74012)

10:30 am- We hit the road!

11:30 am - Stop at Pea Ridge National Military Park

12:30 pm- Back on the road…

1:30 pm- Stop at Beaver Lake Dam. Photo op!

2:00pm- Back on the Road…

3:00pm- Arrive in Eureka Spring and Check into the Hotel.

5:00pm- Meet as a group and off for Dinner. Eureka has a great bus/shuttle system and since parking is hard to come by, the bus option might be a good idea.

7:30 pm- Eureka Ghost Tour! Details Below…

Sunday
8:00-9:00 Am- Check out and Meet for Breakfast

After Breakfast… Hit the road back to Tulsa…

Ghost Tour Details…
BOO! This should be fun… I've been reading up on this... They also had a story in the "Scene" section of yesterday's Tulsa World about the Crescent Hotel. Also, SciFi Channel's "Ghost Hunters" did a spot on the Hotel as well. If you get the SciFi Channel they are re-airing the episode on the Crescent Hotel this Weds evening. Here's a clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7C7WlYCZGQ

I negotiated a group rate for us of $15 per person
The tour starts promptly at 7:30pm Saturday Evening.

Carroll will be giving the tour. Here's an email he wrote me with some info:
Paul: Thanks for your question about the tour. Of course we would welcome you on 10-27. Group rate is $15.00 @ and office opens at 7:30 in the Crescent Hotel, Rm 212. We suggest you be there early since that is weekend before Halloween!! With that weekend and the volume of customers, the tour will take at least 2 hours. We walk hallways on 2nd and 3rd floors plus go to the ground level, where there was a morgue in the l930's and you will see an autopsy table. Also, you may have seen the Ghost Hunters done almost 2 years ago, wherein both of us were shown as "historian" and "medium". It knocked their socks off because they actually caught on camera a full image of a man in the morgue, and I gave a reading to Jason which was phenomenal. They truly were convinced!! Thanks for your inquiry and look forward to your visit. Thanks, Carroll, ESGT

Pre Trip check list:
  • Full Tank of Gas! (Please Show up with a full tank…)
  • Check your Tire Pressure. (For those of us who race, don't forget to put your spare tire back in…)
  • Check all your fluids (Oil, antifreeze, etc)
  • Camera and/or video
As always… Please let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks,
Paul
