I don't know Darren but I should know Tim, he works in the shop next to ours.

So did make it to the sale of sabre and get a dandy severance package?

From all the people I've talked to about sabre, that sounds like a good move on your part!! I dated a women who worked at sabre for awhile.. She quit during the EDS takover, as did many people.

Not sure if I'd know your Dad. I haven't worked in the hangers for 16 years, but you never know.

Yep if was a mustang in the 80-90 era I can tell you all you need to know! They were the funnest bang for your buck for a lot of years. Still may be hard to beat for horsepower per dollar ratio.

Dad's name is Dan McKay.

Sorry, I don't know your dad. But for every person thats ask me I'f I've known somebody they knew its been 100% no to everyone. There are 5500+ mechanics out there. The odds aren't good.

My only other Mustang was that 88 LX. I owned it 5 years. It was like you said. A fun bodystyle with endless mods. Mine really wasn't all that impressive. New paint, BBK headers/H-pipe/cat backs/w Flowmaster 3 chamber mufflers. A new Ford 3.73 Rear and an aluminum driveshaft/ AOD tranny with a Lentech 3000 lock-up converter and Lentech valve body with a revised shift pattern. Instead of 1/2 3 4, it was 1 2 3/4 so you could manually shift it. I put a set of Crane rockers on it but thats about it. That speed density kept me from going crazy and I almost did but then I bought that GTX and everything changed. Nice cruiser but nothing that would be "King of the street'. The seats weren't very comfortable but it was a fun car!!! Probably why I bought another one this past month!!!

My first job was pump jockey at a Stuckeys Travel Store in summer 1970, You can only imagine the assortment of cars that came through there off the interstate. The muscle car was King ! Big block V8`s everywhere ! It was a grand time.

Well did abit of inquiring today. I do know who Tim is. Green Bay Packers fan, wears flashy pants and walks real fast. I've never had a conversation with him but I know who he is. I see him in the halls every once in awhile.

Hey Gray, When I was 18 I was 6'2" and 175 lbs. Now I'm 6' 1" and almost 230 lbs.. How are you doing with the creeping pounds? I guess all of us are a LOT bigger than we were in HighSchool. Pass the gravy and potatoes!

The Saleen is fine, but a little lame at 4500 feet altitude.
At sea level around 495 HP RWH. I hit the rev limiter almost before I can shift!!!Seond gear tries to put you into the guardrail. Third to fourth still snaps your head onto the headrests.I'd recommend it. They do a nice tune also.........

Hey Mark was it the 86 or the 87 Grand national that would make a mustang cry on the strip?
