BHF/BMMC Toy Drive

Press Release: (Ok... Just an email I'm sending out.)
It’s time again for the Bob Hurley Ford and BMMC toy drive. This is our 2nd year participating in the event. All proceeds go towards helping underprivileged kids have a great Christmas.

The club participated last year and it was awesome. With only about a week to prepare, we were still able to raise about $200 in toys for the kiddos. This year we want to shatter that!

I’m opening it up to the members… If you have any ideas for fund raising, please throw them out. Or if you just would like to donate a toy or cash we’ll arrange for pick up or drop off. 100% of cash collected will go toward the purchase of toys.

Deadline for the toy drive is Dec 1st. The Club will be meeting up at BHF on that day. We hope to see ya there. This is a truly a great event.

We hope all of you can participate!

Got the email. The info was incorrect I raised over 400 bucks on my own last year for the toys. 200 from donations and a match of 200 from Sunshine Furniture. I will be doing the same thing this year. I will start right away. I hope to double what we had last year.

Just the facts. So that being said I expect to see at least 200 bucks from all board members and another 200-400 from the others. So all in all we should have 1000 dollars woth of toys to deliver on the 1st.

Keep receipts... for taxes.

You can buy unwrapped toys to BHF with the club on Dec 1, or my pad anytime. No need to wrap em.

Throwing out an invitation for any boardmembers/club members that want to meet up here in Owasso saturday morning and go toy shopping you are welcome to use my house as a meeting place and then head out as a group for a toy shopping spree. There are plenty of places to toy shop here now that its grown so fast and its not near as busy as 71st and there is also a Cracker Barrel to have breakfast if anybody is into that. I figure I'm going to have to get my toy shopping done this weekend since after Thanksgiving the stores become a madhouse. Thoughts?????

I know this is last minute so it may not work but let me know.

Chris I could do the shopping thing if we do it early on Saturday. I have family coming in that morning for an early Thanksgiving dinner at 1pm. I could probably only be gone for an hour too.

Jeff,
Sure, I'm open to any and all ideas. I do have some later day plans myself so I guess the idea is gather together and shop for a few toys. We'll see if anybody else can make a saturday morning shopping gig. If we don't get anybody else we can hit up the stores early since we live within a few miles of them!!

Sure, we'll see if we can work out something. Not sure about my free time next week but when you know of a good time post it and If I'm available we'll do some power shopping for the kids. I just finished up my first "toys for the kids" shopping excursion. Lots of fun and not too crowded..
