Where are all the Candy Apple Red 'Stangs?

I have an '08 Dark Candy Apple Red GT on order. I will arrive within the next 2 weeks. So, I've been anxious to see what other DCAR owners have done to trick theirs out.

I keep checking the Mustang Source's "By Color" forums. But it seems like there is only the rare posting...often with no pics. Also, I've noticed that few DCAR Mustangs have shown up in the main forums.

I know DCAR is new for '08 and we're barely in January, but how popular or unpopular has it been so far?

Pics of your DCAR would be greatly appreciated!!!

I would love to post mine but I keep getting the message that the attachment is too large? How is that possible? It is just a JPEG image. I can't get 1 photo.... even for my personal signature

I got one and it looks GREAT! I get a lot of very positive comments one it. And with gold stripes, it look really sexy. Unfortunately, no pictures yet. Waiting for the weather to warm up so i can polish it and really make it shine.

I finally have some pics of my own Candy Apple Red GT.

I opted to leave the spoiler off mine. So far, I've only tinted the windows and changed the grill to center-mount the fog lights.

I can't believe how much fun it is to drive!!!

Hey Water Junky.....I'd love to see pics of the black turn signals on your car. I went with the clear. Here are my most recent pics.

Looks like you have the flip down license plate holder. I have one ready for my GT/CS when it comes in. How did the install go for it? Any problems or suggestions for installation??

Hey Denlem,

Very sharp eye, I'm surprised that you saw that!! The only problem I have had with it is I have hit it a couple of times pulling into the driveway. Install was pretty easy, I just drilled 3 holes. 2 in the front and 1 in the back and used the supplied spring nuts, I also used the metal strap to support the back screw.

I eyeball EVERY Candy Apple I see looking for ideas!!!

I had hoped it wouldn't require any/much drilling underneath. The bottoming out concerns me since I have a dirt and boulder drivway to go in and out of.

Do you pull it up when you drive or do you leave it down? I've thought about just leaving it down and if I got stopped just say I forgot to pull it up or that it pop down itself.

I drive with it down and if I get stopped I'm going to say I forgot to put it up and see how it goes! The 3 holes that I drilled are only 3/16" and if I ever take it off I would just put the screws back in to fill the hole.

When did you order your car?
