I called my sales guy today, who left a message with the schedule guy. He's supposed to call me back if he hears anything.

It good to see pics of the new Candy Apple red though. It gets me even more excited!

OK, I just got the call, my car is going to be built next week. Should be here next in late August!

 

Nothing yet. It was supposed to be built this week, but it hasn't been "blended" as of today.

i have picts. i couldnt get them side by side but i got the trunk on both. the redfire is a little darker. i dont see as much metallic on the candyapple as in the redfire. still looks nice. to the common man they wouldnt be able to tell the difference.....

I agree. I like the candyapple red, but I like the redfire just a little bit more because of the metallic.

 

Both colors are metallic. Maybe you can see it more in the redfire, then the Candy Apple.

 

Well, if we didn't already have our 2007 Redfire, and I was buying a 2008 Mustang, I'd be getting the Candy Apple Red ftw!

 

Dumb question: Did CandyApple replace BOTH Torch and RedFire? Is there now only one Red???

FLAstang: Torch Red remains and RedFire was replaced with DCARCM. So there will be two Reds.

One person says it is and another says it isn't.So which is it?

 

there are metallic in both but the redfire has a more distinct metallic to it than DCAR. its there but very faint. only in really bright sunlight will you see it. other than that it just looks red. i had to get really close to see the metallic.

 

The Ford color sample sheet called it Dark Candy Apple Clearcoat Metallic.
