you beat me to it 05retro.
i need that KR hood.. especially since my Shelby CS6 hood which i paid over a thousand dollars to ship across the globe turned out defective, and didn't clear my stock engine.. let alone now the whipple.
i had to cut the heck out of it.. and it's not a pretty sight underneath anymore

Can we ask non KR questions? If so then:
1. Will there be a 2008 Shelby GT?
2. If yes, will it come in additional colors?
3. If yes, then what are those colors?

White with blue stripes is reserved for the GT350!

Please ask if there will be a way to purchase the KR directly from Shelby Autos to avoid the dealer's ADM? Even if they worked out a deal with a local dealer in NV, it would be worth the extra $ for shipping to buy it at MSRP.

Yes, according to MT anyway, it will have 40th anniversary badging.

What is the time line for it?
Colour combination availability?
and will their be a Vert model???

Understand there will only be 1000 built. True/False??

What shifter are they using? Articles say stock from FORD with 3:73.1 gears and Short throw shifter before headed to NV.

Ask why Shelby Autos is so persistant in constantly bringing up the money amounts of their Barrett-Jackson sales. Ask why their loyalty is primarily directed to support the dealers rather than their fans.

Other than a composite hood, are there any other weight reduction measures that improve the front/rear weight distribution?

Thanks guys. I just talked to Rob and he wrote your questions down. He was sitting down with Amy when we hung up.

In the meantime, I can answer some of your questions now:

Nope.

Their job is to sell the KR right now. They won't comment on possible future products.

No. Forum member 1969 Mustang Mach 1 asked if the KR is one year only; I hope they do a GT500KR convertible for 2009.

Because the money from those auctions goes to the Carroll Shelby Childrens Foundation. In two years they've raised--what--$1.5 Million at Barrett-Jackson alone?

Shelby Autos is in business to make money, which they hadn't done for years before the current management took over. I imagine they still have old bills to pay. And there isn't anything Shelby Autos can do about ADMs, etc.

Black, like the GT500, so the black line runs from the rear bumper down the rockers to the splitter.

The old cliche "... if you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem..." applies here. No matter how you slice it Shelby Autos has not taken a stand on the side of the consumers, you know, the ones that ultimately buy their products? Their silence on the subject speaks volumes and it's not for the loyal fans who are being played like yo-yos. Besides, the dealers' position cannot be part of Shelby Autos' concern since sales are their one and only priority.

Judging from Carroll Shelby's past attitudes and demeaner if questioned on the subject he would likely say that whoever doesn't have the money can go screw themselves, in which if he were to offer his objections to the ADMs Shelby Autos would sell as many cars if not more. No doubt his past promotes and sell cars, imagine how better off it would be if Shelby Autos displayed support and good will on behalf of their customers.
