Slideshow of SuperSnake from Tulsa
Took these yesterday at the dragstrip in Tulsa. Talked with someone from Shelby, I think it was Gary Patterson. I was told that the production would also get the upper scoops and it will use a twin-screw blower rather than the new TVS. Enjoy! BTW, I had a great time drag racing my GT500.

I want that hood!!!!!
The pics are too big to post here. It won't allow me too. I'm working on uploading them to image shack for hosting. It will probably take awhile on my computer but I'll get them up as quick as I can.

What's with all the black? It looks like a bad case of a V6 being modded for the sake of modding without purpose to claim it has be modded. I would not be surprised if WCC turns out to be the chief design advisor.
It needs to distinguish itself from the standard GT500 but Pimp My Ride different?
With the aggressive hood the car could do without all blackened lenses, tail lights, windows, and even the stripes, and still look impressive and exclusive. There is no way this version can be taken seriously in comparing it to the Viper or the Z06. The SuperSnake is not in their class.

Also, if they were so quick to paint eveything black, why is the little center piece in the hood scoop red....and why is that bright shiny radiator gleaming at me through the black grille?

The design speaks for itself without any extravagance.

The quarter windows aren't finalized. According to a post by AmyB they are going to have scoops, but they weren't finished yet. I agree that blacking out all the lights was a little much. Aside from those two things I like it ten times better than the KR.

This reminds me of a 2003 Fun Ford Weekend and its car show that the top award went to a V6 with a ton of chrome, florescent lighting in the engine bay, and a Stalker kit.

I took my spotless but stock '01 BULLITT and black '03 Mach 1, I took it in stride.
A guy with a '03 Cobra who had spent some serious bucks and a sleepless night of detailing was less than amused, actually he was fuming. Of course, I assured him (several times) he had the best car on the show.
Had he stayed he would have won the Best Burnout Award. I wonder if it was mailed to him?
