GT500KR Comes with 18" Wheels

I was surprised to see that the Shelby GT500KR will come with 18" wheels, not the 20s seen on the show car and in Knight Rider.

If I were a KR buyer, I could afford 20's. But I too would wonder why I have to at that price...

The write-up in MM&FF mentioned that. I've waiting for them to become available through Shelby or FRPP. I think they rock !

Those 18s on the KR look as tiny as the stock V6 wheels!

Yea, they kind of lose something in translation. I think lowering would help.

Well, I like them.
My guess is the weigh is enough less to justify as a performance enhancement.

If the forged wheels are 20% lighter and 18" wheels are lighter than 20", why not.
Okay, I don't like 20" wheels on any Mustang.

normally I dont like 20's on mustangs either, but in this case I think they look way better than the 18's.

The wheels look pretty lame in 18", after seeing the 20s--but that's an easy enough fix if you don't like the look.

The car has a totaly different appearance witht the 18's. I think they blew it with this but they always do that. I still mad that the original 05 concept wheels came out in 17. I would love to have those wheels in a 20.

Wow . . . . The standard GT500 wheels look much better than those 18" KR wheels.
