TMS Fox Project car!!! Project Twice Bitten!

Here we go! TMS is working on a Fox project car. The car is being built by my shop SVPU and will be a restomoded 1993 Vibrant Red SVT Cobra! This project will take a little time being a ground up but we already have a jump start.

We have been working on a project name and so far have "Twice Bitten...first built by SVT...now rebuilt by SVP". This car was a well used over 100K mile '93 Cobra that had a few issues but was a daily driver until the engine dropped a valve destroying everything but the intake and oil pan.

This is most likely the FIRST '93 Cobra ever bolted to a Rotisserie and we will be building it up as a streetable car capable of holding it's on on a road course.

Here is a picture of it shortly after it was purchased....

Very, very cool!! Can't wait to read/hear about this project!

I'll admit when I first read the title "Twice Bitten" I thought . . . Twin Turbo?!

Here is the engine carnage....Valve spring broke...dropped valve...shattered piston/bent 2 rods and took a chunk out of the block. Cylinder head also destroyed in the process.

First pic is the engine compartment originally....the rest are the engine damage shots.

Currently today the car sits mounted to a Rotisserie. We will be moving it outside for a thorough cleaning....

Very cool project, its hard to look at those engine damage pics. Was the driver running it real hard for the valve spring to break?

The previous owner beat on the car enough to break the T5 and tear the torque boxes...which we repaired when the car was first purchased. When it broke it was being driven easy....it just started ticking and then progressively got worse and then started knocking VERY loudly...which was when the piston came apart.

Sweet! another TMS project car. The engine has seen better days but the car looks to be in good hands now.

Can't wait to see what you do with it.

This will be pretty interesting... I'll have my Fox by the end of the summer. Race ya

Then when I get it into the Daytona coupe body I'll race you again and see if the FFR is actually any faster than the stock Mustang.

The body will be stock in appearance except for the addition of an HO Fibertrends 1 1/2" cowl induction hood. We are going to paint the underside of the car red as well.
