We are finally getting around to organizing one of my garages and you gave me a few ideas!
Thanks for all the compliments, yes they are the Gladiator cabinets. As far as the floor my wife special ordered them from Do It Best Hardware.

When I returned home from Daytona, I opened up the garage to pull the Stang in and... I was like "who pimped my garage"... I am soooo Thankful for the Great Family and Friends I have.

Well, now its settled as I already have the 2 Gladiator wall cabinets and I was considering a cheaper storage cabinet... but after seeing this layout, I am definitely going to spend the extra money to get the matching piece.

And BTW, is that a Gladiator bench as I have only seen a 6 foot version and I need a 5 footer to fit my configuration?

It's not really as bad as you think if you start by yanking everything out of there and then making dump runs and fitting only what you need back in there, and remember, if you haven't used it, let alone seen it in five years... you don't need it. Mine looked a lot like yours when I cleaned it out last summer. A good three days and it was much, much better. Unfortunately it is almost right back where I started, but I have since recleaned it and all it takes is a good day and it's almost back to where it was. Most of it was just cleaning out the junk.

Whistler- That is so cool. That is a huge undertaking for a weekend, and really transformed the place from a hangout to the hangout. Looks wonderful. Congratulations, and it's great to see someone who appreciates what they are given so much.

Enjoy it in good health.

Here is a little story about the project.

Chris’ aka "The Whistler" Garage Story

My wife and daughter wanted to find something special to do for me for my birthday and collaboratively they came up with the idea to redo our garage and make it the ultimate “Man Cave.” In doing this, they planned for several months. They purchased the cabinets, shelving, and flooring, all while keeping me under wraps. The only problem was getting me out of the house long enough for them to get the job done; they tried on a couple different occasions to do so but they were unsuccessful. So they finally resorted to getting my wife and I to go to the 3-day Spring Car Show at Daytona International Speed Way, this allowed plenty of time to get the job done but my wife had to go with me leaving only my daughter. My wife and I left early Friday morning for our weekend adventure, and soon after my daughter, friends, and “extra” children got started on the project! They finished my new “Man Cave” in about 29 hours from the time I left, working all hours of the night! Sunday, everyone awaited my arrival home, and when I finally arrived and put up my garage door I was absolutely speechless as to what I found. My wife and daughter did a fantastic job planning this, as I am a very hard man to surprise; and everyone who worked on it did an amazing job with the work!

Very nice!!! What a nice gesture!

I love that flooring, but our garage is more than 900 square feet so it's $$$ once you start getting up to that square footage. But you've got me thinking that cinder block could actually look pretty sweet painted...*gears turning*

I don't know for sure, but I would imagine if you had some 1/2" + plywood or OSB say 2' x 2' or larger underneath each stand, that would spread the weight out a bit and avoid any sharp metal contact that might crack them.

Maybe Chris can give us his thoughts since he's got 'em installed.

I only have 400 sq ft. So its quite affordable.

1/2 plywood under the jack and jack stands and your good. I was detailing the cars today and had them up on jack stands with the wheels off. Still looks new, no marks at all...
