January 1st 2009 NEW YEARS DAY 6th Annual “Tour d’Orange”

This was fun we did it last year...

Jed

January 1st 2009 NEW YEARS DAY 6th Annual “Tour d’Orange”. This Orange County Tradition continues with a 9AM departure from the corner of Red Hill and Fischer in Costa Mesa (MAP). Around 200 participants drive this two hour route. Arguably the first car event of the New Year.

Some pict's from last year...

Ditto last year I was a virgin on this run. In fact It was almost my first and last run right George! I had a little incident with a camera around my neck when I did a 90 degree turn. My BFG's and Watts Links save my Azz so I am here to talk about it I guess you can say I had an "Oh Chit" moment!

That's good because I'm 50/50 for this event.

Not sure what line I fed the wife to get this day off from family commitments.

Whatever it was, she may not fall for it twice.

I'm already in the chit house from Saturday, even after Jack showed mom the photo Jed took of him smiling and waving good-bye from the GO 'Stang... I've committed to going to Little Tokyo on New Years in traditional garb (kimono for the girls and yugata for the guys). But I wanna go!

Don't forget the mochi soup. If I don't have that on NYD, my name is mud for the rest of the year!

Hell, at least you don't have to eat that kombu crap that has some kind of candied small (whole) fish inside... I swear, Japanese eat the damdest things. But the wife don't look half-bad in that kimono!

I've been forced to join the 50/50 group. After running it by the wife yesterday she didn't seem to thrilled. Like Bill not sure how I got away with it last year.

Dam wives ruin everything.

Jed, you're SINGLE??????????????? Sh_t, that's why you can do all these things!! You don't have to worry about being kicked out of the house you're paying for to sleep in your own car!!

And by the way, it's not who's wearing the pants... It's who's wearing the skirt you can look up!

I have to be in Little Tokyo in my traditional Japanese garb to appease my commander-in-chief of the house so no, I cannot participate.
