This year we entered the 4th of July parade in a small town near us. I knew it was a small town but their parade proved it beyond any doubt. To enter the parade, there is no registration just show up. We got there an hour early so, we were number four in the lineup. of probably 30 different cars and trucks. After waiting about an hour, the parade started. I had no idea how long the parade route was or how long it would take. three blocks and 7 minutes later we reached the end of the parade. I think the town is around 500 people (not sure) but I'd guess there was several thousand people along the route. It's an all-day event for the town. For us we came home to a barbecue and this view. Our car here has a horse whinny whistle and a mechanical dog that barks and turns it head. Taped onto the folded down back head rest, passenger side. The kids got a big thrill out of the dog in particular. We had a barbecue from our deck. We live on a cliff with a 180-degree view of the lake. Yes, we absolutely know how lucky we are.

Wow!!! Idaho, eastern WA and eastern OR are on our vacation short list, possibly next year. This incredible view of yours will spur us on. We have always done Montana in the past because of Glacier NP and even when we visit western Canada we tend to come back through Montana.

Thanks, I don't know about the deserve part, but my wife and I planned our retirement for five years. I was sent all of the country to teach classes at conventions and we would look at the area as a possible retirement place. In the end, I found this house on the internet and bought it six months before I retired. We've been here over 25 years. Got rid of our oil paintings when we moved here.as we couldn't compete with the constant changing view going on outside our windows.
Congrats on participating in the parade, as your Mustang rightfully deserves and fits right in with the other cars, including the 427 Cobra right behind you... Meanwhile, thanks for sharing and the scenery is indeed breathtaking, to say the very least...
If, you can pull it off, drop down from Canada into the N/E Washington. Better yet come across from Canada on they're free ferry from Nelson into North Idaho. The ride itself is spectacular. Work your way down to Hwy 200 across Idaho into Montana towards Missoula, MT and Interstate 90. I guarantee you absolute breath-taking ride.
