where can i find just the housing to my trunk light?

So I noticed since I owned my 05 stang the trunk light was out. I figured the bulb was burned out so I ordered new led interior and trunk light bulbs. When I pulled out the housing of the trunk light bulb it was cracked and the contact won't touch the light. When I looked up the part all I could find is the whole thing attached to the interior of the trunk. I just want the clear plastic housing the holds the bulb

I have seen a few also. Some people like to wreck their stuff. I just don't get that.

Many junkyards keep recent cars in full serve. For something they don't typically pull like a trunk light housing a full serve yard is going to charge way too much.

What's worse is that in my area not only are cars less than ten years old not put into self serve yards but mustangs are kept in full serve only even longer.

But I do understand in other parts of the country yards put most everything out. It just depends on the area.

Go to car-part.com

Enter 2005 Ford Mustang trunk hatch/lid and your zip code. It will ask for spoiler or not, and yes, it may make a difference. Sort by distance. There you go, trunks for a mustang., and I saw 7 spoilered ones within 50 miles of the 94612 area code, and 1 no-spoiler. That's 8 cars to go see.

If you wanted other parts, enter those Usually, entering things like 'dash' or 'gauges' or 'rear glass' or other part that won't be removed from the car normally will ensure most of the car is there, so whatever it is you *really* want (say, left side seat belt) is waiting for you to go get the part from.

Maybe. It is a junkyard, after all.

Hope that helps!
