A friend of mines 07 GT is stuck in 3rd gear. The shifter had alot of slop in it for a while but from what we can tell its jammed up internally. Anybody else had this problem? No grinding or anything the shifter is just stuck in what looks to be half way between 3rd and neutral but its physically in 3rd gear.

 

Get under the vehicle and check for loose, broken, bolts, nuts, lever shaft.
