Stock hub cap removal Stock plastic one

Hello: I am new to this forum. How does one take off the stock plastic wheel cover on a 2006 mustang convertable V6. Wanted to rotate the tires and can not get the right combo to remove the wheel cover , seem to be attached to center of the wheel, just the ford logo in the center of wheel cover? Help!!! EMAIL ME AT wking@charter.net Owner manual no help.

Take your tire iron that came with the car, on the end that doesn't fit over the nuts, it will be a pry bar....with a plastic end. Stick that end into the slot found around the edge of the hub cap and pry it off.

You have the one year wonder full wheel covers over steel wheels. The wheel covers are held on by the lug nuts. Jack up the car first then remove the lug nuts. Remove the wheel covers then rotate the tires.

Hubcap

This thread was old but I went looking for the same info today, so incase anyone else runs into this,
The hubcap is secured by plastic tabs that snap over a shoulder on each lug nut, it takes some force to get the thing off, I pulled with my hands along the outside edge in two places about 4 inches a part and gave it a good tug and it popped right off.
