RIM Corrosion on front wheels

Has anyone experienced inside rim corrosion, or at least i think it's corrosion. It's not brake dust thats for sure. It's as if something leaked on the inside of the RIM and ate away at it. I am pushing for this to be covered under warranty. I have a 2006 GT with the 18 inch fan blades. Both front wheels have this but the passenger side is worse

Could be Magnesium Chloride.

Unfortunately, I had to drive it last winter cuz my winter beater died. Magnesium Chloride doesn't sound good from what i can remember from high school chemistry. I guess the only option would be to get the rim refinished or get a new one

I get that in the front and back rims, runny drips. I think it's actually drippings from wet rotors/brakes. Every other time I wash it, I run an old mitt around the inside of the rims, takes all of 30 sec each to keep clean. Are you sure it won't simply clean out?? The wheel finish should be covered by the 3/36 for defects in the finish.

I have taken the wheel off and scrubbed it like crazy to no avail. I will fight for a replacement.
