Leaking in front of motor
I went out to my car this morning and found this about an hour and a half after getting to work. Any ideas? It feels slick but is clear in color. It had no disernable odor. I did not taste it but another person did and said it tasted like Antifreeze.

Went back out and found this. I hadn't looked at it the first time. I was concentrating on the radiator, compressor and power steering. I have an appointment this afternoon at the dealer. Should I keep it or just chalk it up to a burp?
I also just found this thread sorry to repost same type of issue.

Fixed! Called the dealer(Capital Ford Raleigh NC) at 10:00 had appointment for 1:30 Car fixed by 2:00. It turned out to be a bad radiator cap. Cap is suposed to release at 16psi it didn't release at 28psi. He stopped because he didn't want to destroy the cap. The old cap rattled a little bit. The new cap rattled like a shaker ball paint can. Will watch it like the other thread and if it happens again they will replace the overflow bottle. The tech loved the other thread that I printed out and took to him. Made his job much easier.

I observed the same thing a few months back and posted the pictures in the earlier thread. My dealer changed the cap back then. Although I said I would regularly check up on the reservoir... I never did until today (enjoying too much the car). Lo and behold, I see dried up residue again on my reservoir, but no mess on the ground.
I am due for another service appointment anyways and will bring this up again. Seems the cap change didn't do it. Though this time I will mention the pressure it should release at and the overflow bottle. Thanks for that information.
Will post new information when available.

oh man. the same thing happened to me. only my cap never released, it jsut bursted through the seal between the black top and the clear portion of the tank. it spewed coolant all over my blower and top of engine, relocated pcmm hoses and wires. even across the hood carpet thing. since stealer wouldnt touch it cause of the S/C, even though the coolant system wasnt touched, i was lucky enough to find a buddy with a stock tank he asnt using due to his vortech install and using their tank. havent had a leak since

Update
Since I last wrote in, I was going to a regular service appointment, had to postpone to today. Talked to the dealer about the problem (2nd time). First time, they replaced the cap. This time, the dealer tried the cap, turned it, said it wasn't tight enough. So he turned it more, it clicked. Then he took off the cap, put it back on, tightened, there was no click. He said, that's wierd, should have clicked. Anyways, they changed the cap again. He also looked in one of their databases for similar problems, didn't find anything. Everything else looks fine, no issues, no leaks.
I'll check with an independent mechanic.
