Car was built on 6/16/05 - i didnt think it was the "Problem" Shaker

i have had no real problems with it...a couple times it would lock up but that was it

on wednesday i used a Laser Lens Cleaner (RCA DISCWASHER) then yesterday it wouldnt recognize the discs (this includes ALL burned MP3 discs, burned Audio discs, & Studio audio discs)

the only disc that works is the laser lens cleaner (it has audio instructions on it)

anyone have any clue?

 

Mine was built on 05/27/05...nothing but problems with my Shaker. Unfortunately, I haven't had the time to get to the dealer to get it fixed. The thing drives me nuts!

 

That happened to my Shaker 500.

It simply quit playing CDs one day.

Didnt matter if it was brand new store bought CD or burned CD. Didnt make a different - it wouldn't play.

The dealer replaced it and it's doing better.

I'm sure it'll break again some day.

 

Mine is broke too- It plays em- but continually reloads and goes static and spits em out as bad. I replaced the shaker with an XM because I am on Shaker #2.

 

i bought the "Cars" soundtrack on sunday and loaded it...first 20 seconds of Sheryl Crow's song...PERFECT

then it was skipping

and this was after i pulled the fuse for the radio in my distribution box and left it out for a bit :arg:

 

Yeah these things really suck when they don't work. I would call your dealer and tell them about it they will replace it ASAP. I know not everyone has time for this but once they stop working there is no 'fix'. Elanores Mine has had the worst luck with them, I am on number 2 and it works about 98%.

 

i called the dealer...told them the problem along with the TSB numbers

they still said they had to look at it

they are 1 1/2 hours away

i dont want to drive there to have them tell me "hey you need a new radio" when i told them that

 

My Car stereo rep is in MWF from 8-10 am. Coffee drinking time. I had such a PITA last time, it is just a hassle at this point.

I just gave up on it. I don't use it anymore, so screw it.
