Got transmission refilled/flushed, and now it's over revving...

So after having my son drain my transmission fluid from my automatic '06 on accident, I took it to my car to the local Ford Dealer to be refilled. I believe they performed a flush as well. Ever since then, my car doesn't "feel" the same. It tends to over rev at times, and when stopped at the light, it will slip out of gear and take me to hit the gas a few times for it to accelerate. And when it does accelerate, it jumps. Could this just be my transmission getting used to the new fluid?? Or is there a more serious problem occurring? All feedback is totally helpful. Thanks everyone!

...you drove it to the dealer after it was drained?

Not sure if you've damaged anything but I would definately take it back to them as so as possible.

Sorry guys....that was a typo... I had it towed to the dealer directly from my driveway. But for some reason, it keeps occurring. It's not all the time, but occasionally it seems to almost slip out of gear. This tends to happen when I come to a light and then try to accelerate, or if I'm braking through a turn. Could this just be normal for the first week (until the new fluid settles in), or do I need to make another trip to the dealer?

Sounds to me like you're low on fluid. My 73 Montego did the same thing when the fluid was low (it' leaked like a sieve, I actually kept 2 or 3 quarts of TF on hand in the trunk to fill it when started slipping).

Take it back to the dealer!!! Why even question this if the car isn't right after a dealer visist? That's what your warranty is for.

Our 65 acts like that when she's low on tranny fluid.

I hate the fact that the 05 doesn't have a transmission fluid dipstick. How are we supposed to know the mechanics filled it properly? I hope you figure it out.

So I went back to the dealer, and was quoted 100.00 dollars just to "look at the problem". Now "if" they found anything wrong that THEY did, then they would fix it free of charge. Otherwise, it's tough luck...and you're now gonna pay the 100 plus possible extras.....

If you know you didn't drive it with the fluid drained, you know it is their fault.
They can't be sure that you didn't drive it empty and therefore damaged it.
You can't prove anything, so that's just the way it is.
Let's hope they are on the up and up and realize their mistake and correct it.
If they claim you damaged it, I would advertise their deception far and wide.
