Folks,
Had my gas tank replaced IAW the TSB a month ago and after four tanks filled up, all is good. The Ford dealer in Vaihingen by my base did the warranty work and all seems good, i'm pleased with the work and fix. The nozzle doesn't cut off until its supposed to now and I've used three different stations to refuel.

The only problem I now have is paying $3.30 a gallon for gas on base...my Mustang GT likes gas especially at 130mph on the autobahn! The Germans pay about $6.50 with the exchange rate...could be worse I guess . Cheers

Good...Glad you were able to get resolution to that. Did you see the Stars and Stripes article a week or so ago about this? Maybe these guys should use your repair shop. :-)

 

Yes, saw the article. The guy is blaming ENCS and not Ford. ENCS didn't cause the problem but they did sell the car. He has had two tanks put on and he's still not happy, I heard that the problem was actually fixed but he still griped.

My problem was fixed by Ford and I'm happy, this guy is just sour grapes.

how does the germans like the mustang on the autobahn

 

I get many stares and pointing around town and on the autobahn but still get blown away by 911's. Mustangs are sold here through select German dealers. It's a good car to have here.
