Ford ESP Promotions...
Hah, I just got e-mail from fordwarrantys.com...
"Simply visit www.FordWarrantys.com and use PROMO CODE 77566 and $207 will be deducted from any plan you choose. This is a real Ford backed extended warranty, honored by every Ford dealer in the country. You can be covered up to 100,000 miles, with the most extensive coverage available. Save hundreds $$$$ over regular dealer pricing. We sell in volume and pass the savings on to you. "
BUT THE FUNNY PART:
"Hurry this offer will not last! This offer positively ends Tuesday February 29th."
WTF? Feb 29th? Hello, calendar update!

They have great prices... but not too worried about the expiration of the offer. When I went online to get quotes (using different mileage to see if quotes differed), I received email offers for $180 off with expiration 10 days from quote date.

I don't like the deal I received from my dealership for ESP. Frankly I should have walked away from the ESP at that time, but what can I say, I screwed up.
Can I cancel and re-sign up through www.fordwarrantys.com , do you think? I'm thinking about calling them and see what they have to say about such a plan.

I've been debating whether to buy the extended warranty now (only have 4800 miles on rig), or wait until I'm up near 35K (when factory warranty is about to expire). I guess the trade-off is hoping extended warranty costs stay close to what they are now. If I knew they were going to sky-rocket, I'd lock in a good deal now... if not, might as well stash my $1G away and earn interest on it for the next 2.5 year. According to the ESP site, today it only costs an additional $100-$150 if you buy with 30K miles vs 4K miles.

I cancelled the ESP extended warranty that the dealer charged me $1995 for, and picked up the same coverage through www.FordWarrantys.com for $768. The reimbursement for the original is prorated, but I'll only lose a couple hundred bucks. I'll still be saving about a grand. Thanks Miikka!
