A question that I am pondering is how would one get into their locked Mustang if the battery totally died since the car was last locked? All I can think is someplace under the car to attach jumper cables in order to operate power locks. The old wire hanger method sure wouldn't do any good. Any ideas or experiences with this? (Things that make you go Hmmm).

Can the door still be opened with the battery being dead?

With the short drop windows being in the 'grooved position'
is there enough room to open the door without damage?

What happens then?

Isnt their a way to push ur backseats forward? Use a key to open the trunk, push the seats down and go in through their.

The door windows won't drop with a dead battery, but it still allows you to open your door. I did this on accident when I had my battery cable unplugged. It just flexes the rubber out of the way, no harm no foul.

Excellent...

As for the trunk.....the seats are locked from the inside via pull-string

Usually cars w/ shaved handles have hidden "poppers" for the doors in case of this.

This seems funny until you lock your keys in the trunk :bang: . The top is down. It is about to rain. You cant go through the seats (vert). Thanks to cost cutting, there is no trunk release. Of course I just heard this could happen..........I would never do something like this............. um nevermind

There's the answer I was looking for. I was afraid with the drop windows that trying to open with the key would result in damaged door exterior trim. Glad to know that this is not the case.
