Buzz and rattle...
So I took my car (2007 GT) to the dealer a little over a week ago to get the transmission fluid changed. Got the car back, and have noticed in the mornings (20-30 degrees) that there is a pronounced rattle and groan from underneath the car. Now then, I have a few theories about this, so bear with me.
The first scenario has to do with my FRPP x-pipe crossover. I wonder if the cold weather has been causing the pipes to shrink somewhat, and because it is a clamp-on unit, the clamps are buzzing on the exhaust.
The second is that either the dealer had to drop the x to get to the drain plug or had to take the transmission out of the car (?!?) to service it. The only reason I mention this is that he said there was some difficulty in changing the fluid, but he didn't go into any detail.
Beyond the startup issue, it seems like the car, under acceleration makes kind of a groaning noise. The noise may be coming from the trans or the crossover, I don't really know. I still have even pressure from the exhaust, and have noticed no smoke from under the car (at the crossover clamps).
If this question has been asked before, I apologise, but I was hoping to get some opinions in here so I can figure out what's going on, or what to say to the dealer. I'm gonna tighten the clamps today to see if that eliminates some of the problem, so we'll see.
Thanks,
-Jim

Do you have the transmission cross-member exhaust mounts ? If so they may be the problem , there has been two TSB's on this and the last one was to just remove them since they're only a production assembly aid. Google TSB 08-3-4 and you should find it ...
