What You Have is a Ford Manufacturing Part Number. In Europe Many Times Ford Would Use This Number For European Parts Database. In The States Ford Has a Service part Number Cross Referenced From The ID or Manufacturing Number.
The Original Ford Part Number For The 05-08 Non Gt-500 Cars Was 4r3z-2005-aa replaced By 5r3z2005a. It is Discontinued From Ford. The Aftermarket Listing Below Also Lumps in The 7r3z2005a Which is Actually For a Gt-500 But The Aftermarket Will Consolidate Things. The Gt Would Use The Same Booster From 05-08. I Would Have Thought the 09 Would Interchange But as Far as part Numbers it Does Not. Interestingly Enough The 09 Stlyle Ends Up Going into The Gen II S-197's.
A Little Digging and LMR Used To Sell The Shelby Booster 7r3z2005a as an Upgrade For Non Gt-500 Cars. Also The 09 Boosters Could Be Used But Would Require 09 Master Cylinder and Some of The Hard Lines. It is Considered an Upgrade as Well! I Did Not Dig Deep on The Conversion So Be Advised.
I'm Glad Some Folks Have Use For The Stuff I Picked Up Over The Years Searching For Parts! I Think I Flipped a Few More Rocks Over Than The Average Ford Parts Guy!
The LMR Site is Not Playing Friendly Today But I Finally Got Through. I Also Foggily Remember This From 15+ Years Ago From Some Thread! The Boss 302 Reference Would Have To Be a Later Gt-500 Booster on a Later Car. But The Gt-500 Answer Seems To Ring True.
Improves Stopping Power. Improve the stopping power of your S197 Mustang to better than new performance by upgrading your old, worn out power brake booster with a direct fit Shelby GT500 replacement. This Genuine Ford GT500 vacuum power brake booster is the perfect companion when installing an aftermarket big brake kit on your 2005 to 2008 GT or V6 Mustang.
Genuine Ford Part. This is that same exact Power Brake Booster that is featured as standard equipment on the Shelby GT500 and limited edition Boss 302 Mustangs. A GT500 vacuum brake booster will help reduce pedal effort by up to 30% when compared to the stock GT brake booster.
Application. This Genuine Ford replacement Power Brake Booster is designed for use on all 2005 to 2008 Mustangs, including the V6, GT, Bullitt and Shelby GT500 models. Will not fit 2009-2014 Mustang models.
Again great info.
The American Muscle website does include a part number (5R3Z-2005-A), it too is unavailable.
I just thought a GT500 Booster would be cool but I guess that's out of the mix.

If You Want a Saved Search The 07-08 Shelby Booster is a 7r3z2005a. That Lmr Post is a Bit Inaccurate in Places. Again The Weird Thing is The Aftermarket Lumps in The Base & Gt-500 Boosters as a Direct Interchange. So In Theory When a Core is Turned in From a GT-500 Somebody is Getting One Back Without Knowing it or Visa Versa.
I Would Bet There are Some Really Low Miles Good Used Shelby Boosters Out There as The Cars Were Usually Driven Sparingly Till Some Mishap!
Ford Would Also Consolidate Things Like Brake Pads. The Once Special Compound Bullitt Pads Down the Road Were Superceeded To Regular Pads. Same Thing With The Special Shocks & Struts. I Mention this Cause The Bullitt Did Drive Better Than a Standard GT.
Back in The Day Ford Would Drive us Parts Guys Crazy Wanting To Know Things Like What Plant The car was Built in Etc. I'm Talking Pre Internet Days! So You Are Trying to get the Correct Part & Sometimes The Parts Were Different Plant to Plant But Other Times Down The Road 4 Different Parts Listings all Superceeded to One Number fits All! Drove Us Crazy! Oh there is My Excuse For My Sanity!
Back then You Asked for a Vin / Production Date and People Got Really Crappy and Indignant! I'm Reminded of a Customer Who I Asked What Kind of car he Had and Proudly Said is Was a Ford Mercury. Another Guy Had a Ford Van And I Asked What Model he Said it Was a Cheetah Van. Went outside and it was a Chateau! Anyhoo I thought it was Funny!

That's funny as heck
Hey those last part number really helped. Thank you.
You know What They Say, Partsmen Do it By the Numbers!
Customers Classic Response Back in the Day When You Started Asking Questions!
THEY ARE ALL THE SAME!
That is Until you Order Without Proper Information and it Came in Wrong!
Here is a Good One. People Would Buy a Flexplate and Call Back all Bent out of Shape and Say it Was Wrong. So I Would Tell Them To Bring it Back with Their Old One. They Would Set it up on Top of The Old one On The Counter and Say See The Bolts Don't Line Up! Without Missing a Beat and a Straight Face I Would Rotate Flexplate Until The Staggerd Bolt Pattern Lined Up. Usually That Would Be Followed By Silence and a Hasty Retreat. Ya They Go On One Way For Balance! DOH!
