I salvaged a 1990 8.8 rear with 2.73's. I plan to clean it up, paint it and buy some 3.55 gears. Who have you guys used for gear install and would you use them again?

 

I used a guy local. He took out my 3.08 gears and installed the 3.55 gears that are in my 8.8 now.

I would not recommend him, though.

go talk to antony harris at woodys he is the shop forman and a real good friend of mine he had me talk to the rear end guy there that rebuilds all the for rear ends at woodys. tell antony that jack sent you

I give a second on Andy, he did some work for me recently even with his new shop not quite open yet. I have heard good things about him and setting up gears, I think he did Patrick's and he'll probably be the one to do mine when I get some new ones.
