wanted....any 18 inch rims and tires....uggh
Well after learning all about 17 inch rims and offset and whatnot (thank you everyone for help) I now find that I need 18 inch rims...not 17. Any attempt to go wider than 235 up to 275 means I need a shorter tire wall 30-40 vs the 55 on there now. I thought that with the wider tread the % of the sidewall would be the same. Not so. No matter what, if I go wider on any tire brand I lose 1.5-2 inches of wheel diameter. Not acceptable to me.
So, despite my preference, I need to go to 18 inches, but I hate aftermarket rims as previously mentioned. I like a stock look so any 18 with tires would be great. So long as it is an OE or OE style mustang rims.....cobra R, GT fanblade, Bullit style, Shelby Gt500...whatever, so long as it can be found on a mustang. I would prefer to find someone that doesn't like stock and wants to sell what they got before I go the retail route. Thanks.

Your in luck. I have 2 sets of stock 18" rims. Fanblades 18x8.5 with the stock tires still on them and some 18x8.5 Bullitts/no tires. 2 of the Bullitts have some curb rash from previous owner.
Fanblades with or without tires $500.00
Bullitts $300.00
Currently on the car I have a set of 18x9 Black Chrome Bullitts with 255's on them. I would sell them for $900.00
I'll get you some pics if interested. I'm in Albertville.

just to be sure....my understanding is that the the second # is a percentage of the tread width right? For example.....235 55R17 means that the side wall is 55% of the tread width of 235mm....right?
So a 275 35R17 is wider and sounds shorter but since it is 35% of 275 instead of 235 it should stay close...not 2 inches off....right? Or am I just not understanding the whole business?

you have those available with tires or just the bullits? Either way, I'll take the fans with tires (if they are serviceable) or the black chrome. I just need to come out and see which one, but I'll take one or the other if that's cool with you?
yeah, I think I like the fanblades better than black chrome (as opposed to plain black with chrome lip) but like I said, I'll come out and buy one of the three choices from you. Thank you, thank you.....
the black chrome looks awesome...but on a non black car (which I have...a black car)...otherwise there isn't enough contrast unless you go black, but with a deep dish chrome lip to break it up a bit

These are what fanblades look like if that is what you are talking about
