Update on Deborah
Hi guys and gals,
It has been a bad last few days for Deb and I. We found out the bad news on Friday that there is nothing that can be done to cure her cancer. Her Oncologist gives her days or weeks to live. We are in Albertville at the Hospice Care Facility where they are doing their best to make her comfortable. The doctor here went over her reports with us and explained everything to us. Her cancer is far more advanced than we were led to believe. We have come to accept our future together and know that her life is now more than ever in the hands of our Father. She is doing ok right now she just has a problem with trying to get comfortable. Once again we want to thank all of you for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers and that you continue to do so. I have taken the Family Leave Act so I can be with her. Thank you fellow Mustangers.

im sorry to hear that skip, I really am.
my condolences go out to you and your wife. I am praying for you both in the days to come and hope the best for you.
no matter what happens, keep in mind that god has a plan and what happens is for him to decide, and there is little you can do.
i will be praying for you.

Skip,
So sorry to hear that. I ran a race in Boaz yesterday that raised over $10,000 for the Albertville/Marshall County Hospice facility. Had I known Deb was there yesterday, I would have worn a patch for her (they had some available where you could run "for" someone).

Hey guys, thanks for the kind words. Deb's sister came to stay with her today so I could come home and get some stuff done. One of them was to send out emails to our friends to let them know her condition. She's very weak and still not able to eat much. I'm enclosing a picture of her from our trip to Florida after she was diagnosed. This is how I would like those of you who know us to remember her.

Good morning Skip,
Sometimes I look inside and I find some of the things that I am going through, and then I am reminded of the life that others have and I am humbled. The life that you and Deb have shared is very precious. It is a testament to the love that the two of you have for each other and have been so blessed to give. Both of you are more than the sum of each. You are one.
Please give her my love.
