Starter question

Can I install a 93ish oem starter on my 1985GT? The aero nose starters are mini/higher torque right? Im gonna upgrade to a PA Performance alternator on the 85 and was considering a better starter as well.

Yep.

FYI, I've already upgraded to the electric fan and 3G alternator.

Ralph, is the starter a direct bolt on or do I need to mod anything?

Nope. Pretty much direct. The only difference is the wiring of the fender-mounted solenoid. The 93 mini starter has one on it.

The hi torque ministarters are great. I had one on my racecar and crank it with a lawn tractor battery. Wiring change is simple.
