Started work on the '83 T-top

I bought some tires and wheels for it, got them mounted today and put them on. Looks much better than the 14" wheels with 195/60X14 tires.
New tires are 225/60X15 on 15X8 wheels. Also bought my seats for it and got the interior removed to do the floor pans.

How do those 225s look on a 8" rim? I am planning on buying 225/50/15s for mine and curious to how they look.

The 245s are only in 245/60/15. I want to keep a low profile looking tire to keep the mustang low to the ground.

According to that I would be better off just getting 255/60s since they would just be .2 inches taller than the 245/60s.

blueovalguy, Wheels look good as do the seats. Going to move the rear seat upholstery to your frames? The floors on the Foxes are the weakest point it seems. Think about sub-frame connectors to rigid up the body a little? kennyg

Actualy, I'll be doing a rear seat delete, only me and the wife, don't need a rear seat for anything. I know what you mean about the floors. Mine started rusting due to the tops leaking, but the floors split at the seat mounting area. I'm not only doing sub-frame connectors, but also a seat pan re-enforcement, after i put in the new floors.

The 83's always split. Aftermarket made a piece to put in to reinforce, but I went with the Kenny Brown Super Subs.

Where did you get the seats? How much were they?

I have a 3-spoke steering wheel that was used in the 84-86 that you can have. Needs to be rewrapped.

I got them off E-bay-$80 + $50 shipping. There's been a bunch for sale lately on craigslist.
