For Sale or Trade :1987 5.0 Coupe
So, basically, it's a coupe that looks a little strange with a GT ground effects and needs work everywhere, especially the trunk area. No power windows, no air conditioning, auto...
$400.
$400.
As much as people whine about not being able find coupes, especially 5.0 coupes in running shape, i thought this would sale, even with the GT ground effects ( which were on the car when i bought it).
This car has well over what i am asking for it in parts alone, suspension etc etc. Sure it looks like hell, it needs a paint job as i noted in the original post. its fairly easy to swap over to 5 speed.
Sorry people, i am not gonna turn it into a show car only to be offered 1,500 because it has no power windows or AC.
That being the case, i will pull off the GT ground effects, swap it to 5 speed, throw my nitrous kit on and go play at the dragstrip with it.

Well, I'm sure your attitude had nothing to do with the lack of (acceptable) offers. Personally, pics that show you didn't even bother to shovel the garbage out of the seats and floorboards don't exactly scream, "buy me." It look(ed) like a parts car.
But whaddevah. Good luck with whatever you decide to do with the car.

I don't mind he got salty. You can find these cars in *good* shape for a much better price. That car is in poor shape at best needing everything. Plus extra work with the trunk work needed. It would only sell to a very select market. He just did not find anyone in that distinct market that piqued interest at $2500.
I've built several. I know what the car is worth and how much it cost to get it into *good* drivable (not show) shape. The bodywork/paint alone will run at least $2500. The underhood needs a lot of work to at least keep from being embarrassed to open the hood at the gas station to check the oil. The interior pics even showed the carpet all balled up at the backseat. Fuse cover missing, no package tray, etc. I am sure the very low quality of the pics hid a LOT of problems.
The car does have potential. Just needs a LOT more than just paint, decklid, and rearend.
