What gears did you finally decide on?

 

I had 3.73's put in the '86. I would have used the 3.55's but the "Z" spec T-5 I used only has a 2.95 first gear vs. the std T-5 3.35. So I needed a little more out of the hole.

I have the Z-spec and 3.55 gears.
I kinda like it.

The 2.95 was in my stock T5 with stock 3.08 gears.
When I traded out the T5 for a 91 model, I was happy to go back to the 2.95 when I swapped to 3.55 gears.

 

Ralph, Most of it really had to do with the "B" cam I'm running. It's more of an upper RPM cam. So I'm basically compensating for the lack of low end. The 3.73's really put it in the sweet spot.
