save your money on performance mods, and work on interior and exterior,
no matter how much you spend you will want a v8 in the end and all that money will be wasted!
i would go springs, and if you can get roller spring perches! they really help!
i am sure you know about shaun @ street or track, he is where i get almost all my stuff from, front suspension rear leaf springs ect
if you have time tomorrow i will be home all day after 12 you can stop by and i can show you my suspension! (still in the process!)
i have 5 lug drum brakes if your interested, complete with new pads and wheel cylinders off a 67 coupe, what year was yours again?
i also have the rear drum setup for the 67, you would just need axles then to convert over to 5 lug, and i even have my old wheels(need tires)

How's your interior? New seat upholstery and door panels can do wonders for an old car and are great DIY projects.
Agree, don't spend time/money on performance upgrades to the I6. A V8 swap or different car is in your future. It's the same old story. Trust me.

Preach it, Brutha 'Glo!

It is a 67 coupe. Interior is actually in really good shape. I can buy new leafs and 1in drop coils for the front. I looked at www.streetortrack.com. Don't know if that is the place, but they are alittle more compared to this other mustang place. www.mustangsunlimited.com
he should have an 8" rear end, if so its an easy swap, if it is infact a 7.5 need to swap axles!

I actually may be going to nashville this weekend to look at some mustangs. May get some parts off of a 70 they have. May even get some off of some fox bodies they have
16 and already has a car, spare money for mods, goes to school only to get out and go golfing ! WOW !!! Does life get any better than that !!!
I don't know you BA...but I already don't like you !!!.....(j/k)

First things first...
Sounds like you are ADDing around the to do list.
If you want to restore and mod the old Mustang, park it in the garage and take it all the way apart. It takes about a weekend and doesn't cost anything.
Without taking the car all of the way apart, take out the seats and carpet and check out the floor pans and frame rails. Chances are they need some work or replacement. Keep the I-6 running and keep up the other maintenance too.
'67 facts:
6 cyl cars came with a 7.5 rear axle. 8" 5 lug axles will not fit.
A 2 bbl carb will not bolt on an I-6.
One other fact: IF you are going to restore the Mustang, Buy yourself a 4 cyl mini truck like a Ranger to drive around and to haul the pieces of the 'Stang around while you rebuild it.
Be prepared to spend about $15,000 or more during the process. That is if you do most of the work yourself. Mark D. can give you an idea what it cost to do one like the red 'vert he recently finished. Just ask him !
