New Addition to The Family, Waaa, Waaa

Well...not that kind of addition. Picked up a pick-up on the 1st. What a great way to start the New Year! Traded my non-Ford '52 ****** for a 1969 F100 SWB, 240 6 cylinder, 3 speed. Solid truck overall with just minor front floor pan replacement needed. Got a stuck brake to fix and a leaking radiator to repair or replace before it's drivable, but was impressed how easily it started the last couple of days in the extreme cold. Am amazed how good the bed floor is. Been needing a full size truck to haul building materials during a home remodel and my son's Sport Side Ranger just won't hold 4' wide sheets of OSB or sheetrock. Here's a couple of pics. kennyg

Reminds me of the fleet of green Ford trucks at Camp Jackson! You need to add it to your signature.

blueovalguy, You had a nice bump! That's a good color too. I had a 70 LWB years ago that I literally drove the wheels off of. Jumped at the opportunity to get this one. Looks rougher in pics than it really is. Wish it was warmer and I would go out to the barn and check out the stuck brake problem. Just got an email from a guy who has a bunch of bump parts, so I'll be visiting him soon. kennyg

Yeah, I was amazed when I got it home and realized it was totally rust free
(there was a small 4" hole in the driver's floor due to faulty window regulator.
It was aqua and primer when I bought it. I painted the baby blue after cleaning up a bunch of small dings and dents.
If your looking for some wheels for it, I have a set for sale-$200. 15X8 Aluminum

How's the tread? I'll keep them in mind. I like the stock look, but those would give it a change in attitude. kennyg
