Is it just me

Or am I missing something. Has anyone else noticed that in the Mustang of The Day forum that for every 1 older Mustang posted that there are 8 '05 & up models posted. Don't ban me Brad, but there are a lot more older Mustangs then newer. Sorry, I'm just venting. Not really a big fan of the new Mustang.

for the sake of discussion i suppose .. the 79 thru 93 years seemed to have lasted forever .. everything older is new again and the new is still fresh .. hence the coverage of those more frequently .. i prefer the old 73 and back and the new 05 and up ..i never owned the " mid model " years ... even though they did a great job of keeping mustang alive ..

Hmmm so what should the forum owner do? Create two forums one for pre 2005 models and one for the S197? I think the forum is great the way it is as different model owners can share their experiences.

Nature of the Beast . . . .

It was a nautural progression for TMS to gavitate more towards the S197s given the timing in which Brad launched TMS. And while there is a wealth of information and facts about all the Mustang generations I don't think you'll ever convince masses of people from svtperformance.com, mach1registry.com, local/regional sites to spend more time here at TMS.

To that end, it is up to the individuals who do not own S197s to participate in the other sections of the site.

Supposedly they are randomly picked.

They are randomly picked. Look at the distribution of images in the gallery:
  • 1964 ½-1966 Mustangs: 1071 images, 7% of all images
  • 1967-1968 Mustangs: 1381 images, 9% of all images
  • 1969-1970 Mustangs: 1606 images, 11% of all images
  • 1971-1973 Mustangs: 637 images, 4% of all images
  • 1974-1978 Mustangs: 144 images, 1% of all images
  • 1979-1986 Mustangs: 313 images, 2% of all images
  • 1987-1993 Mustangs: 290 images, 2% of all images
  • 1994-1998 Mustangs: 358 images, 2% of all images
  • 1999-2004 Mustangs: 1289 images, 9% of all images
  • 2005-2009 Mustangs: 7453 images, 51% of all images
  • 2010+ Mustangs: 140 images, 1% of all images
There are other sections that the Mustang of the Day could come from (movies, other events, etc.), but you get the idea.
