i have`nt ran down the track in several years but never need " tech" .. all you need is long pants and a helmet if you run quicker than 8.5 i think... starts at 6;30 and goes to perhaps 10 or so ... not sure about the latest curfews after their dealings with that woman who tried to close the track

^ hahaa.... i remember back when i had my baby blue boss 02.. my hubby jumped on a silver stang.. that he thought was a 6banger.. i was in the "pit" area and heard it go by and was like WTF thats got a blower! Then saw on the back the SVT logo... hahaha hubby got his **** handed to him! It was hilarious!

Phillip - are you running a stock IRS? If so what RPMs are you launching from so not to break the halfshalfts? And how bad is your wheel hop?

ok.. might try talking the hubby into going sometime then. Good set of tires help really well with wheel hop. I have full kenny brown suspenion under mine and it still hops... then when i put the KDW2 tires on it its gotten better.

 

That was alot of fun, nice meeting you also virginiavenom, yea the whine told me i was in trouble lol. workman and i worked on my car for a while today with NO luck.....I did find out she has no air bags, whitch means a wreak in it's past most likely.... can anybody do a car fax? that would help out alot. I know one of the windows was blown out due to alot of glass under my back seat, I am also not very fond of airbags but its the fact thats its been in a wreak that i dont like. if a car fax comes up with bad news...terminator here i come lol

Whoever is in the right lane in that video, I'll kindly offer a tidbit of advice based on 15 years of drag racing....

Don't double bulb. Roll into the pre-stage beam and stop. Wait for your opponent to light his pre-stage beam, and then roll into the stage beam when you're ready. This keeps your opponent from having to rush, and also keeps them from getting caught with their pants down if the tree has an auto-start.

Most sanctioned racing events will DQ you for repeatedly double bulbing, so its good to break the habit early.
