Home Heating and Cooling Help Needed

My AC unit when out on my workshop. I call it an AC unit but I believe it is a heat pump. After working all summer, the darn thing went out on me two days ago. The fan that is on the unit itself no longer works and it is just pushing out cold air. I need someone to come look at it to determine what is wrong with it. If there is someone on the forum that is liscensed in TN, or you know somebody I would appreciate the contact info. Thanks.

Actually I feel like a serious retard. First let me state that I know very little about heating and cooling. A few months ago the gas company took away out propane because we didn't use enough gas in the last two years to keep it. Little did I know that the unit on the workshop was a gas furnace. I had assumed that it was a heat pump like the unit attached to the house. So no gas, no heat.

Was it Country Gas? Same thing happened with me, paid them $36 annual tank rent, and only bought 1 tank of propane, they couldn't believe I could survive on that little, but only the furnace was gas. There's plenty of gas companies to choose from. kennyg

So, they don't want you to pay a tank rental? That doesn't make any sense. You are more than likely going to use it if it is there. I agree with kennyg...change companies.

The company was Fergusson LP. We were paying $35 a year to rent the tank. When the called they said that we either needed to use more gas, or pay a surcharge to keep the tank. I told them to take the tank. If it wasn't for the workshop unit, we would have nothing in that ran off propane. Stove, water heater, and heat pump are all electric. We did change companies, Heritiage Propane. We went to a smaller tank and they said that as long as we fill it once a year they won't bother us. The tank should get installed by next Friday, so that means electric space heaters in the workshop until then.
