Gurley Cruise in (Hardee's) this Saturday night, anybody planning on going?

 

i`ll be there untill it gets too cold .. stupid weather.

 

I might go, if I remember too. It's not too far from my house anyway. I'll most likely be in the Stang...

 

I doubt it'll be warmer than right now, by 6pm, but I might drive by and see if it's worth stopping by. Last time I went to the Gurley show was in the middle of 05 and it was awful.

 

awful as in hot or as in the event was awful... everone i attended last year was great .. got crowded a time or two

 

I wont make it tonight, just got back from test driving the stang with the new diff gears installed. Too much gear noise for me. Unless new gears are supposed to get quieter as you drive them I have trouble brewing. Maybe next month.

 

My new gears whistled for about 15 minutes, and I haven't heard anything since.

 

Did you have high heat generated off the rear end case and rear cover?

 

Awful as in the show sucked! Too many ricers there, very little muscle and classics there, back then. I might be there, dunno yet. Will you be in your Stang?

 

The times I have made it to the Gurley cruise-in it was a mix of old and new cars. The newer stuff out numbered the old iron but it was always a good turn out. The down side is once your in...your in. Its hard not to get blocked in. If the parking lot there was twice the size it would be an even bigger turn out. That's my two cents.

 

I am looking for a complete C4 to install in my 65 coupe. I would like a working trans if possible with all the hardware (dipstick, kick down linkage ect) since I am looking to pull my manual trans out and swap to an auto.

you more than likely have already hurt them ... did someone who knew what they were doing set them up .. they should be cool and quiet from day one

 

ricers is not a good term .. yes the " tuners " outnumberd the muscle tonite 5 to 1 but thats the way it is .. very good turn out tonite .. the sun was bad so i didnt take any pics..
