Good aluminum welders in the area?

Ok, here's the situation.

My dad has a 97 F350 and said today his A/C compressor bracket snapped in half. He bypassed it for the time being, but is driving it up here next week and really wants to get it fixed.

He searched the salvage yards back down south where we are from, but no one had anything. There are also no welders down there that can weld aluminum, but a couple told him it can be done and if done properly, it would be perfectly fine and cheaper than buying a new one from Ford.

He has asked me to look around for him and see if I can locate someone for him. Anyone have any recommendations that I can pass along to him?

Any help is appreciated.

There is a welding shop on Johnson Road (C&W I think) that I used to fix a cast aluminum valve cover and they did a good job.

Ace Truck Parts

Ace Truck Parts is located in Hazel Green on HWY 231. They are open Monday thru Friday. It is a good possibility that they would have the bracket that you need. 828-4733.

Appreciate all the help. For some reason dad doesn't want to buy another one. He wants to keep the one he has. I had a few people today tell me that Beverly Welding can weld darn near anything. Plus he would come here, which would be good when dad gets here.

He is dead set on keeping the one he has. I have no idea if something else is done to it (truck is far from stock) and that bracket was already modified or something like that.

At work we use Beverly welding 1-2 times per month. Best welder I have seen, good prices, fast and no hassles.
