Garage fridge anyone??

It's a 1950's Fridgidaire. This thing works perfect! Nice and cold. It could use a new gasket around the door but still stays ice cold. My grandparents have been using it as extra storage for drinks and such but just got a newer one that's bigger.

Located in Cullman. $100obo

I would take it if it was the same color on the outside as it was on the inside

My grandfather painted it but i'm pretty sure it was already white on the outside.

Its amazing how the old ones last! Growing up we had a 50's Kelvinator (Kelvinator/Nash/Hudson/AMC) as a 2nd frig. It was still going in '98 when stuff was liquidated due to my dad's death. I wound up picking up a 50's Kelvinator as a beer frig in the early 80's and its still going strong today - never had any work, never needed a 'freon' recharge either. In fact I can turn it down and use it as a full freezer!

I always thought one of those painted up sorta like an old coke box would be cool. When it quits working, put a trailer axle and tongue under it and pull it behind your classic Stang with your junk (cooler, suitcases, lawn chairs, parts you found at the swap meet, etc) in it. Maybe a couple of those old Ford crest taillights to finish it off from a '50's F series. kennyg

They used to sell this kit at Northern Tool. I have also seen it done with an all red paint job then black 1/8" striping tape to outline the drawers and chrome sticky wheel lip trim to simulate handles. Add a few Snap-On logos and you are ready to go.
