FE block for sale

Ran into a guy today at the craft shop.
He's selling a 390FE block, bored .060 over, new cam bearings, freeze plugs. The block has been fluxed and the cylinders honed.

The machine work was done by a shop in Athens on Jefferson st....He couldn't recall the name.

He's looking for $200 for the block.

If anyone is interested, Post here and I'll PM his contact info.

FE...name for earlier ford blocks. 352, 390 427 and I think 428??? Pre 429 and 460. or something close to this. I think there is a 360ish truck motor in there too.

I'd be interested if it wasn't halfway across the country.

Whaddaya think it'd cost to get it shipped to Southern California? Sounds like it might be worth the investment...

He said that he might bring it by the parts corral at the show. He said he was just trying to get out of it what he put into it for the machining.

Besiness that uses Yellow Freight? Unfortunately, no.

But ****. That's not bad. If it's still for sale by June 3rd I think I'll go for it. I wouldn't mind doing a project motor thread...
