IIRC it was an F70 on 15 inch wheel which represents quite a range of tire sizes if your looking at a modern radials.

Hmmm... thought they were 15's.

Anyways this might come in handy;

http://enthusiast.yearone.com/faqs/w...version-chart/

An F70 on a 14 inch rim is equivalent to a 195R14, 215/70R14 and a 245/60R14. When no aspect ratio is listed it is 80 or higher.

Metric Size = Width x Height
195/80R14 = 7.67" x 26.83"
215/70R14 = 8.46" x 25.85"
245/60R14 = 9.65" x 25.57"

You'll notice that an E70 is the correspondingly smaller tire for each size (185R14, 205/70R14, and 235/60R14)

15's were only on Boss 302, Boss 429, and Shelbys.

Wonder what the biggest tire/rim you could squeeze under a 69 would be? I have a 69 Boss 302 and wanna put some performance shoes on it. Anybody got an idea?
