Deb is back in the hospital again. They moved her from Arab to Huntsville today to keep a better watch on her since her oncologist were in Huntsville. She's been having problems with keeping anything in her stomach. She was dehydrated and they've been giving her fluids for that. They have a gastrologist coming in in the morning to take a look at her and we should hopefully know more then. In the mean time please keep her in your prayers and thoughts.

Thanks guys. I just got home from the hospital. Her brother(David) was with her most of the day. I got to see her before they took her downstairs to look at her insides. David called me later in the day, I had to work, and told me the scope did not turn up anything negative but they are thinking maybe the chemo is what's causing her to vomit all the time. I wish they would find out exactly what's causing it so we'd know. She's in room 1750 but does not really want to talk to anyone, she wants to just rest and you all know you don't get any sleep in a hospital.

Boy, do I know about the sleep, or lack thereof.

The nausea has to be very annoying. I hate feeling that way for just a bit. I cannot imagine feeling that way most, if not all the time. I really wish and hope they are able to help her, Skip.

Well, I stayed at the hospital with her last night because of the meds they gave. She tried to go to the bathroom and almost fell so she & I decided I needed to stay. They think her new chemo pill may be causing the vomiting but they also found that her sodium level is low and her potasium is high. They got her potasium down to a safe level now they have to work on the sodium. I'll try to keep you guys updated. I'll be back up there at 6:15 when I get off work. They're hoping to have her out by the weekend.

Ok, I just got home so I could shower and clean up. The doctor(Oncologist) came by this morning and Deb finally asked him to give her a time frame of how much longer she might have and he said it could be weeks or months. Either way she's not doing well. She's still swollen from the fluids being given to her and they still don't have her sodium level where they want it. I'll be heading back up there for the weekend as soon as I can get my stuff together. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Skip, I cannot begin to tell you how I feel for Deb and you. Please let her know that there is a shower of thoughts, prayers, and love coming her way from so many. You know that people are here for the two of you. If you need anything... and I mean anything at all... know that you have "family" all around you at a moment's notice.
