There will be a cruise on Saturday, October 23 to Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham. I will meet those who want to go at Lone Star Steakhouse at 7 am. I will pull out NO later than 7:15. I will drive through Publix parking lot in Athens to pick anyone up from LCMC. We will meet up with Shoals Mustang Club in Cullman. We will go to Barber Museum and then head to Fultondale cruise-in.

The Valley Vettes - Rocket City Mustang Club Rally is a tradition that goes back several years. It's put on by an RCMC member that happens to own both a Mustang and a Corvette. I recommend RCMC make a strong effort to participate in this rally. Going to Barber that day and expecting any member to do both is unrealistic. In my opinion, this is bad form. The club has an event on the calendar with it's name on it. Please rethink this.

Wish I could make it, but I have to work. Mustang also doesn't have the old transmission back in yet.

I understand what you are saying. I have debated about this for a while. I also have to take into consideration of reaching out to other Mustang clubs. I have been speaking with other clubs and we all would like to start doing things together, including a large car show with RCMC, LCMC, Shoals, Birmingham, and Nashville. Last night I also discovered that we might be able to get some cars from South Alabama. Believe me, I did look forward and was/am still excited about the rally with the Valley Vettes. I am really being pulled on this one.

That is what the VV/RCMC Rally is.

I can understand the reaching out to other Mustang clubs. Yet, as Mark is trying to show, we already have a tradition established for Saturday. It was on the calendar for a very long time. This is one day out of the whole year.

What message does the RCMC give to the Valley Vettes with this?

The club should not disrespect the relationships it has taken years to build to pursue new relationships.

Lisa, this is your club now, and you get to guide us. But this is not an event we were "thinking about joining". This event has our name on it. Check the calendar on our website. We already have a date to the dance.

I won't be in town for either.

If anyone has a problem with what Lisa or anyone else is doing or proposing i think you need to take it to personal emails and not post it on here for the world to see.

i am getting tired of all this bickering between everyone. my opinion is to the members that rarly ever show up to events and only come to meetings to complain, need to complain less get more involved and mind your own p's and q's

Mberglo and Putter are either of you going to be at the corvette / rcmc event? i am sure you agree some of us chose other things that the curent event listed, just as lisa has decided to do, she has just stated if some people who were not planning to go, of if someone wanted to try to go to both, just as Ralph did on the last event vic held (Ralph didnt you do the poker run and go to Vic's dinner?) i dont remember anyone complaining about that.

That's the problem. It's not a "current event listed". It's an RCMC sponsored event. RCMC is involved in the planning and execution of this event.

I'm done. Do what you want.
