Convertible pictures
This was my first buildup of a complete car.
This is a pic when I first finished it three years ago.
And how it ended up.
Got these today. I cannot figure out how the damage happened. It had to have flipped somehow. I am thinking the axle on the rear driver's side broke and caused her to swerve left, then right. She hit the ditch with mostly the right front. The left damage and the top of the hood must be from flipping somehow. Notice the driver's quarter and also the driver's fender digging in the dirt.

I was just razing you, since you didn't mention her condition at all. It's something a wife would, say "you care more about that car..."
Glad to see she is doing better now though.
Road rash? Did she have a seat belt on?
I agree though, parts just break sometimes, even on newer cars, not to mention car around 20 years old.

Yeah, I kinda figured you were trying to be light-hearted.
Yes, she always wears her seat belt.
She does not really remember the wreck.

I am not a Koni fan. Too harsh. I had Tokico Premiums. I am trying to find if I can buy the car back. The yard moves it with a forklift since the rear is broken.

Ralph,
You might want to talk to Matthew Bryan. He had a similar problem where he wrecked a low mileage, late model convertible. The insurance company only wanted to give book value. He got a lawyer involved (Mike Timberlake, a fellow Mustang owner and former club member). They had me write a description as to why the car should be worth a lot more than they were offering (based on Hemmings, Ebay, and other sales I'd seen). I think he wound up getting an $8K settlement.

Yeah, I tried all day to get ahold of the lady in charge of the claim.
A lawyer? I would rather not have the insurance company drop me.
I saw this ad tonight.

$5K. Clean retail in NADA is $3400 and immaculate is $4K.
I also told this next guy I am going to pay $3300 cash for this car.

I really need to get more money for the vert. $2400 is an insult.
