Gum Springs Missionary Baptist Church in eastern Lincoln county is holding it's 3rd annual car and truck show Saturday June 14, 2008. From Huntsville take Hwy 231/431 north across the state line to Hwy 275, turn right and follow it out to Hwy 64 and turn right again and the church is a couple of miles up on the left. Have fun! Someone was wanting to take a cruise and this would be a nice drive if some of ya'll caravan up there. kennyg

 

i dont recognise 275 .. is that lincoln rd .. go up thru flintville and on up to 64 then head towards winchester ( fyi ) the dodge show at the dragstrip and the cafe 302 cruise in also this sat

 

275 may have a flashing yellow light, it's about 1 1/2 miles across the state line. kennyg

 

got those events and now a benifit show at hazel green school today for the kid who broke his neck when his truck rolled over in the mountains

 

good little event there today.. lots of cars that normally show at hardees gurley were there .. saw this little stang with tripple carb 6 banger

 

I went by about 10 am, it was still misting so there were only about 20 vehicles there. The Stang you have a pic of, a red 66, a FOX, 5 or 6 Chevelles, a 69 Camaro, Roadrunner, couple of mini trucks, and some nice late 40's early 50's trucks. Hey HOSS did you do the 'moon'bounce? LOL How about this, FREE FOOD! This was their 3rd annual, will have to check it out again next year, by then the highway will have moved to the north of the church and that strip of road will be like a state park! kennyg

 

i was pleasantly surprised by how many people was there that i knew and knew me .. yes a bit more room will be greatly appreciated next year .. the pastor even motioned for me to do a burnout as i was leaving but i was in the V6 and it wont do a dry spin ..but put down a little rain and

 

Drove by the Cafe 302 last night on the way home but didn't have time to stop. There was quite a large gathering of hot rods. kennyg

 

it`s always a good event .. good mix of every kind of vehicle you`d wish to see .. mc`d by the same folks who do the gurley event ..
