Does anyone have a 96-98 Cobra hood I can borrow to see if it will clear the new intake set up I have?

 

I'm not pulling off my hood, but what type of intake combo did you get?

 

I'm using an Aviator intake with a new upper that I designed. It lets me lower the overall height of the intake and use a Cobra dual bore throttle body. It needs some finish welding and couple of fitting put in but it's close to being done. My stock 96GT hood comes really close to fitting so I'm hoping a Cobra hood will give me enough clearance. If not, I guess it's cowl hood time.

 

what kind of CR are you running?

If you're still badged as a GT, I'm sure you've caught a few people off guard.

 

CR is about 10.6:1. Flat top pistons with valve reliefs on a 3.7 bore.

I haven't caught anyone off gaurd because the car doesn't have a hood and the engine looks huge with that aviator intake on it. I drive it on nice days so if you wanna see it just let me know. Or come out to DQ Wednesday. I'll be there with the car unless it's raining. Otherwise I'll just be there.
